fs_tagFocus on Stories ~ Water and development issues for Key Stage 1
Focus on stories uses an enquiry based approach, whereby children's questions generate ideas to be investigated and discussed. It starts with a focus on geography, but makes strong links with other curriculum areas, in particular RE, science, English, citizenship and the environment.

eth_tagFocus on Ethiopia ~ Water and development issues for Key Stage 2
Focus on Ethiopia explores water issues in Britain and in Ethiopia. It has been designed for teachers and children to investigate water in their own locality first, and then to carry out the same activities for Ethiopia, using photographs and interviews. This will enable children to see both similarities and differences in the issues faced by people living in their own local area, and those faced by communities in rural and urban Ethiopia.

The Activity Packs lie at the heart of the Water Project File. These photocopiable resources, a set for each stage, contain a wealth of investigations and ideas to develop skills and an understanding of the process of scientific investigation, as well as providing knowledge. The activities are designed as 'seed' ideas, providing a series of starting points from which further work can be developed.

Focus on GhanaFocus on Ghana ~ Water and development issues for Key Stages 3 & 4
